Junior Chamber International Sha Tin

President Message – May 2016

Time flies, it is the 5th month of my president life in JCI Sha Tin. In the past few months, we have gone through different events and meet different people from various domains.
Begin from our inauguration ceremony, then, Career and Education Expo, JCIHK CSR project pitching day, HK.WeCare Volunteer Day, the visit of Liaison Office of the Central People Government in HKSAR and Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the banquet with Ten Outstanding Young Persons Association, courtesy lunch with Sha Tin Assistant District Officer of Government and Sha Tin District Council vice chairman, New Territories walk for million, reception of JCI VP, UNESCO Peace and Sustainable Development International Youth Festival, these events give different angles for us to understand the social issues.
People we meet appreciated our passion and gave advice to us for possible improvement, encouraged us to do better in projects.
They make me understand, we are doing small but influential. We can make our society better by our hand, through different projects. Our projects, concerning environmental protection, founding new business, and the career planning of students, are the assets to both our chapter and the society.
As the president, one of the role is to explore more opportunities for our members to make positive change to the society. We can have greater impact by joining forces with local community organizations, business world, and the government.
I wish to see you in forthcoming events. Let’s work together, be better and be transcending!
Raymond Ng
2016 President
